August 15, 2018 – Batavia, New York – First Wave Products Group, LLC, a subsidiary of First Wave Technologies, Inc. (“First Wave” and “company”), announced an expansion of the company’s international presence into the APAC region—including South Korea and Taiwan.  First Wave is now serving clients at a global level and furthering its strategic expansion plans by signing its first customers in the region – Korea University Medical Center and iHealth.

First Wave recently began initial tests in the South Korean market to assess product adoption.  The first site was the Korean University Medical Center, where several First Crush™ Automated Pill Crushers were introduced within a hospital setting.  Upon positive feedback, the hospital will continue to utilize First Crush in order to provide a higher level of care and better quality crushed pills to their patients.

First Wave also sold a bulk order of First Crush to an Asian distributor, iHealth, with sales channels in Taiwan.  iHealth is a pharmacy offering an assortment of medical products to hospitals and directly to consumers.  First Crush will be offered to both customer groups.

“We are very pleased to be expanding our presence into the Asian market and look forward to offering patients the best quality of care experience,” stated Brian Bell, Chief Executive Officer and Director of First Wave Technologies.  “For an innovative healthcare company such as First Wave, it is impressive to see that our technologies have garnered recognition across the globe.  We continue to be impressed by how fast the adoption rate for First Crush has become after care givers test the market with their patients. Proper healthcare is a worldwide issue, not bound by international borders.  As populations continue to age and more individuals gain access to professional medical care, we hope that patients and consumers will benefit from the more efficient products and better standards of care that First Wave offers.”
